Enhance Your Teaching at H.A.L.L.

If you are a UConn instructor teaching human anatomy, pathology, nursing, or other fields related to healthcare, H.A.L.L. can provide your students with a unique learning experience that focuses on real human cadaver dissection and goes beyond animal dissection or human cadaver prosection.

With H.A.L.L.’s specialized resources and by working with actual human organ structures and tissues, students gain hands-on experience with:

Line Placements

Endoscopy

Joint manipulation

Dissection

The learning that takes place in HALL simply cannot be replicated in textbooks or simulations.

Why Does Human Cadaver Dissection Matter in Healthcare Education?

Human cadaver dissection remains a foundational part of medical and healthcare education, because it offers students a hands-on understanding of the human body's complex, three-dimensional structures. By exploring the real anatomical relationships and variations, students gain a deeper appreciation for human anatomy that textbooks and digital tools alone can’t provide. This immersive experience builds the essential knowledge needed for safe and effective medical and surgical practice. Practitioners who are already working in the field also benefit from professional development courses that reinforce their existing knowledge in our human anatomy lab.

Facility & Capabilities

In H.A.L.L.’s modern, state-of-the-art human anatomy lab, students and instructors can learn comfortably, without the unpleasant traditional hallmarks of a cadaver lab. The 700-square-foot anatomy lab is configured for both on-site training and the creation of video content for asynchronous instruction and/or streaming synchronous online instruction. H.A.L.L. provides exceptional support for multiple modes of teaching, and ensures a comfortable, clean learning experience:
