Deadline PTCAS Application Due  December 1, 2026

UConn DPT follows a rolling admissions process beginning in September; therefore, it is highly recommended that applicants apply early. Waiting to apply by the December deadline is NOT recommended as the number of available seats in the class will decrease throughout the review period.

Final decisions on all applicants are expected no later than early March.

Application Process:

  1. Complete an application through PTCAS: PTCAS | Applicant Login Page Section (liaisoncas.com) and submit.
  2. You will need to upload the following items in PTCAS for consideration:
    • Personal essays – follow the prompts
    • Official transcripts
    • A resume of not more than two pages
    • GRE scores are optional but encouraged to strengthen your application (University of Connecticut DPT Program PTCAS institution code: 1431)
    • Contact information for two references/recommenders to request letters. One of your recommenders should be a physical therapist or healthcare professional.
    • Description of volunteer work, research activities, and/or employment experiences.
    • Description of physical therapy observations. Minimum of 40 hours required; diverse settings and unpaid/non-credit-bearing experience hours are preferred.
    • Information on prerequisite coursework and grades
  3. If you are offered admission to the UConn DPT Program, then you will need to complete the supplemental application through the UConn Graduate School at https://grad.uconn.edu/admissions/. This application will be used as an indicator of the applicant’s “Intent to Enroll” and should NOT be started until instructed to do so by the UConn DPT Admissions Coordinator.

As part of the supplemental application, you will need to submit the following items to the UConn Graduate School:
        • Official transcripts for all academic coursework. Please note for those individuals who will complete coursework in the Spring semester of the admission year and are admitted into the program, final official transcripts with evidence of conferral date will need to be sent to the Graduate School either electronically or by mail.
        • CT Residence Affidavit
        • English Proficiency (international students): TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo scores

Please DO NOT create an account or start a UConn Grad Slate supplemental application prior to receiving an email with instructions from the DPT Program.

The admissions committee will review only completed PTCAS applications and support materials received by the deadline.
