The UConn PT C.A.R.E.S. Student-Oriented Learning Experience
About the Program
The UConn PT C.A.R.E.S. (Community Access to Rehabilitation and Education Services) Student-Oriented Learning Experience is a student-led, faculty-guided initiative of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program that offers rehabilitation and wellness services to uninsured or underinsured community members who may not otherwise be able to receive physical therapy services. Community volunteers with rehabilitation needs can work with physical therapy students under the direct supervision of physical therapist faculty members.

Student Learning Clinic
Find out how you can volunteer to assist with physical therapist student learning. Under faculty guidance, students learn to develop clinical reasoning and hands-on skills with community volunteers.

Partnering with UConn Medical School and South Park Inn's Homeless Assistance Center, we provide health education and care through their mobility clinic.
